Theo Le Sourd

Theo Le Sourd is a French-American film director who grew up between Paris and New York. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts in 2018 with a BFA in Film Directing, Theo developed his creative style working as a director and editor in

music videos, commercials, and short films.


Working as an editor at New York post-house, Modern Post, Theo worked with acclaimed artists, and some of the most renowned brands such as Jordan, Nike, James Blake, Olivia Rodrigo, Off-White, Clavin Klein, Louis Vuitton, and Glossier.


As a director, Theo explored his directing styles with powerful short films. His thesis film is among the most successful films on Short of the Week and has gained more than 5 million views. Theo then started working closely with the French label, Profil de Face, in developing newly signed artists and following them through their musical journey.


Theo’s longtime passion and study of classical piano gives him a lyrical approach to storytelling. Theo takes pride in crafting stories that are poetic and deeply evocative. His films are rooted in a strong sense of reality and always told through an alluring cinematic lens. His experience as an editor and director pushes him to find new ways to tell compelling and sincere stories. Currently, Theo is writing a new feature film based in New York, and he's always looking for a new story to tell.
